A Trip to Goa

This sound generator started as an attempt to fulfil a user request, trying to capture the essence of Goa Trance. But here’s the thing: I am not a Goa Trance producer ;)

What initially seemed simple became a challenging, time-consuming, and exhausting task, even in the repetitive world of trance music. This was a reminder that no music genre is ever “simple.” Behind every style lies a culture of its own, and a unique set of production tricks that can’t just be reverse-engineered overnight.

So, is this generator the Goa Trance experience you were expecting? Probably not. But it’s something different—a blend of my journey through the genre, my admiration for it, and my personal experiences in designing sounds for synthesizers and producing electronic music.

Then came the challenge of naming the soundscape. I wanted a title that would subtly embed the word "Goa" (have you spotted it now?). And of course, I couldn’t resist using a few of the little tricks that seem to make some of my sound generators mysteriously popular: psychedelic colors and mushrooms! It certainly worked for Take it Easy, Shrooms with a View, and Psynesthesia...

Pure Goa? Maybe not. Enjoyable Goa? Sure it is!

It's giving Infected Mushroom's album "I'm the Supervisor"! I adore it!

Perfection! I love this in A#. Fun and soothing at the same time. - Sofia
