A Trip to Goa

This sound generator started as an attempt to fulfil a user request, trying to capture the essence of Goa Trance. But here’s the thing: I am not a Goa Trance producer ;)

What initially seemed simple became a challenging, time-consuming, and exhausting task, even in the repetitive world of trance music. This was a reminder that no music genre is ever “simple.” Behind every style lies a culture of its own, and a unique set of production tricks that can’t just be reverse-engineered overnight.

So, is this generator the Goa Trance experience you were expecting? Probably not. But it’s something different—a blend of my journey through the genre, my admiration for it, and my personal experiences in designing sounds for synthesizers and producing electronic music.

Then came the challenge of naming the soundscape. I wanted a title that would subtly embed the word "Goa" (have you spotted it now?). And of course, I couldn’t resist using a few of the little tricks that seem to make some of my sound generators mysteriously popular: psychedelic colors and mushrooms! It certainly worked for Take it Easy, Shrooms with a View, and Psynesthesia...

I love the feeling when I use this. It reminds me of "Take It Easy". The theme of the mushrooms underwater is cool!

Thank you for this website, and everything you do! I have found overlaying one of your electronic tracks (Indigo, Circuit Rhythm, etc.) with some background white noise (Timpani Mallets) is the perfect mix for boosting productivity and blocking out the chatter of an office environment. I have this playing daily at work.

It's wonderful beyond words. Hope you like what I did with it.

This is my new favorite! Playing around with the tape speed and slider animations transforms this in strange and interesting ways.

My name is Indigo Amanita. You ate my father. Prepare to die.

Seriously can't wait to see this get eventually lifted onto the myNoise app!

A huge longtime fan, I spent hours searching for the perfect, seemingly impossible blend: dark and moody yet upbeat, funky, trippy, and hypnotic, yet not too monotonously repetitive soundtrack! This took hours sifting through your website (which I do not regret as I enjoy browsing here as always, but sometimes I spend too much time playing!). Then I saw this new update: INSTANT BLISS. It's an instant top favorite.

I dislike synthesizers category. Being certain I will be disappointed with this sound, I set A#, decreased the volume by two steps, set the high animation slider position, and let it slide. Short story long, I ended up working for 3 hours listening to the music. It allowed me to focus in an open space office. I still dislike synthesizers, but I will give this piece another try tomorrow. Thanks.

Pure Goa? Maybe not. Enjoyable Goa? Sure it is!

It's giving Infected Mushroom's album "I'm the Supervisor"! I adore it!

Perfection! I love this in A#. Fun and soothing at the same time. - Sofia
