My daughter Célia went to visit her best friend Roxanne, who now lives on the stunning volcanic island of La Réunion. Before she left, Célia asked if she could bring one of my audio recorders along. Roxanne, a long-time fan of myNoise, had actually suggested it. Thank you, Roxanne! I was excited and said yes right away. I didn’t want to miss the chance to capture new sounds from a different part of the world for myNoise.
Célia and Roxanne enjoyed their time together so much that they often forgot to make recordings for me - haha. Because of this, the recorder stayed in La Réunion for a little while, with Roxanne taking over the recording tasks.
I don't know exactly why, but the outcome is a natural soundscape generator with a uniquely brighter tone compared to my other recordings. This gives the soundscape a special ability to mask higher tones, like tinnitus.
