A contribution by Vee0

Every now and then, I come back to this site for a new sound to sleep, do art, or relax to. Every time, I am not left disappointed.

Lately, been thinking about cicada. They are a wondrous bug which I sadly do not live anywhere near. And yet, they sound like summer to me.

Making this, I wanted to create a spot that felt like a get away. Like, if I had my dream home, what would I see? What would I hear? Smell, taste, feel? I imagine a lazy evening, fireflies flitting about under the cover of a thick canopy, safe from the rain. The smell of soil wet from the drizzle fills the air as frogs croak at a nearby, small stream. And of course, cicada serenade each other, all as the soft rumble of thunder fills the crisp air.

As I sit there, listening to the sound of the woods, I can feel the soft kiss of the mist, refreshing, reminding me I am alive, as leaves rustle gently all around. This is a place I can call sanctuary.

Create Your Own

Use a laptop or desktop computer, as you will be asked to use keyboard shortcuts.

To create your custom composite generator, browse the site for slider contents: open any generator on myNoise, and select the sliders you want to use in your custom set by 'zeroing' all others, then hit [c] to collect all active sliders into a hidden stack. Move to a next generator and repeat the process until you have accumulated 10 sliders. Now hit [shift+c] to render your custom composite generator. At any point, press [x+c] to clear the hidden stack.
