A year ago, Ion Stream (Chris Thomson-Drew) reached out with a generous offer to contribute as a composer of ambient electronic music. Since then, The Architect's Eclipse has won the hearts of so many listeners on myNoise. For all the fans of the original soundscape, here’s a sequel, along with an update from our Architect.
Far away, The Architect was listening. Not to words. Not to radio waves. Not to the familiar signals that civilisations cast into the void once they have grown old enough to wonder if they are alone in the Universe. No, The Architect was enjoying listening for something more elusive: the feelings that emerge when a mind first meets the unknown.
Awe. Fear. Curiosity. Silence. Devotion. Doubt.
Across many worlds, He had placed artefacts to stir the unknown. And each world, in its own time, answered. Together, those responses formed a slow composition: one written not in musical notes, but in the consciousness that breathes through every corner of the Universe.
The Architect never intended to rule these worlds. Not to guide them, nor to judge them. Only to listen.
Welcome to The Architect's Playlist.
There is something deeply humbling about an artist choosing to place their inspiration in your hands. Thank you, Chris for the music, and for the trust. Follow Chris's musical project here.
I am leaving social media. What once connected us has become a hollow space governed by greedy algorithms. Even my followers no longer see my posts! My newsletter is different: it delivers messages directly from me to you. And if you reply, I read it and answer. Plus, by subscribing, you show your love for the project and help keep me motivated to create new soundscapes.
Nature sounds are recorded in the field, and musical soundscapes are composed by musicians. Generative AI is never used to create myNoise soundscapes. Learn more here.
