The Iceland Mashup

Our field recording trip in Iceland was remarkably fruitful, producing such wide range of natural noise generators: waterfalls, hot springs, ocean waves, glaciers, and more! Even after releasing all the generators, many beautiful recordings remained — too good to stay forgotten on a hard drive.

So, to close this Icelandic chapter, I’ve assembled one final soundscape — a sonic tour across the island. Though this collection brings together recordings captured in different places, they form a coherent set; a wall of natural sound that envelops you in Iceland’s raw power.

Released by Stéphane on November 4th, 2025 and made possible by those who choose to support myNoise. Thank you Xavier, Jamie, Hayden, Kathryn, Jennifer, Kyle, Alejandro, Paul, Vassily, Zain, Anakin, Jenn, Matthew, Ludic and Eric

 Social Media

I am leaving social media. What once connected us has become a hollow space governed by greedy algorithms. Even my followers no longer see my posts! My newsletter is different: it delivers messages directly from me to you. And if you reply, I read it and answer. Plus, by subscribing, you show your love for the project and help keep me motivated to create new soundscapes.

 AI

Nature sounds are recorded in the field, and musical soundscapes are composed by musicians. Generative AI is never used to create myNoise soundscapes. Learn more here.
