A Sorcerer's Workshop

The apprentice is taking notes, while the master is carefully checking the alembics brewing those unstable poisons.

This soundscape is a good example of what composite generators can do for you. The Alchemist Workshop is drawing its stems from other generators on this site, such as the examination classroom, the Polders windmill, our subaquatic soundscape, the clock workshop and more... There is even a slider coming from myNoise's fish tank :) With a little imagination and patience, it is possible to create your own composite soundscape: look at the side column for further instructions.

This website has been a gem for ages, but it was only with this specific audio that I noticed the presets! What a creative way to keep the same atmosphere while drawing you in to a specific part. I look forward to fiddling around with the presets of other audios now!

I layer this soundscape with Medieval Library.

I used to study Allround Laboratory and Physics Chemistry. I loved doing lab experiments at school, but now I finished (over a year ago) I miss the noises of the lab. My experience with this generator is that it gives me a peace/reassurance which makes me fall asleep when I nothing else seems to make me fall asleep. I am very grateful this noisemachine. Thank You.

My favorite holiday is Halloween, this is the perfect white noise to get me in a spooky mood!

  Perfect for my chemistry study!

It's the Skyrim sounds that should have blended into the background when you went into the lab animation, but I understand that the limitations of games at this time don't smoothly allow that transition....or do they? Either way, if you have a room of bubbly brews this year for Halloween this is the perfect background sound.

This is definitely an interesting one. I feel like I'm actually in that lab, the sounds are relaxing and I heard that you get a permanent +3 Intelligence perk as well as a free random potion every four hours. Why go and explore when you can just stay here and do something creative?

Listening to this lets me feel like an alchemist's apprentice learning the craft, rather than a college student writing a paper. It keeps me focused, in a way.

This helps me imagine my character's workspace so much better. Thank you!

As a writer, I am always looking for soundscapes to help set the mood for my writing sessions, and help my mind get into a scene. The alchemist workshop here has a feel to it that is perfect for medieval fantasy, steampunk, or historical fiction of a certain time period.

Create Your Own

Use a laptop or desktop computer, as you will be asked to use keyboard shortcuts.

To create your custom composite generator, browse the site for slider contents: open any generator on myNoise, and select the sliders you want to use in your custom set by 'zeroing' all others, then hit [c] to collect all active sliders into a hidden stack. Move to a next generator and repeat the process until you have accumulated 10 sliders. Now hit [shift+c] to render your custom composite generator. At any point, press [x+c] to clear the hidden stack.
