myNoise ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the myNoise mobile application and related services ("App"). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Our privacy policy is straightforward: we do not collect personal information from users unless specifically described below.

Since July 2024, we have used Google Firebase Analytics to better understand how users interact with the App and to improve its functionality. The data collected is used exclusively for analytics, diagnostics, and product improvement purposes. It is only accessed by our small team and is not sold or shared with other parties for marketing purposes.

A. Data Collected via Firebase

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App and its features.

Examples of information collected include:
• Interactions with soundscapes and App features;
• Frequency of use of features such as alarms and timers;
• General usage patterns within the App;
• Application performance information.

This information helps us improve usability, identify popular content, prioritize future development, and replace seldom-used features with improvements requested by users. The App does not require users to create an account, provide an email address, or submit personal profile information. As a result, the analytics information available to us through Firebase Analytics cannot be used by our team to identify individual users.

B. Crash Logs

We collect crash and diagnostic information through platform-specific crash reporting services and related analytics services to identify and fix bugs and improve App stability.

The crash reports available to us do not contain information that allows us to identify individual users. Because the App does not use user accounts or collect personal profile information, we are unable to associate crash reports with a specific person.

Crash logs are only collected if you have opted to share diagnostic or crash-report information through your device settings where such controls are available.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties.

Analytics and diagnostic services used by the App are provided by third-party service providers, including Google Firebase Analytics and platform-specific crash reporting services. Data collected through these services is processed and stored by the respective service providers in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.

Access to analytics and diagnostic information is restricted to members of our team who use it solely for improving the App.

4. Data Retention

We do not maintain user accounts and do not directly store personal user information through the App.

Analytics and diagnostic data collected through Firebase Analytics and platform-specific crash reporting services are processed and stored by the respective service providers. Such data is subject to the providers' own retention policies and deletion procedures, and we do not determine the retention period of data stored by those services.

We do not maintain separate archives or copies of analytics and diagnostic data outside of the services we use.

5. Data Deletion

Because the App does not maintain user accounts and does not store personal user information, we generally have no means of identifying a particular user within the analytics or diagnostic data available to us.

Accordingly, there is generally no user-specific record held by us that can be individually retrieved, modified, or deleted.

Users may stop future analytics and diagnostic data collection by uninstalling the App and, where applicable, adjusting privacy or diagnostic-sharing settings available on their device.

6. Permissions

Our App requests minimal permissions:
• Notifications (if applicable): To provide alarms, timers, reminders, and other user-requested notifications related to App functionality.
• Storage Access (if applicable): To save user settings or locally stored content.
• Internet Access: To download additional sound generators, updates, or online content.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.

This statement is included to comply with applicable international data protection regulations, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR-K provisions relating to children.

8. Security Measures

We do not maintain databases containing personal user information collected through the App.

Analytics and diagnostic information is processed through third-party analytics and crash reporting services, including Google Firebase Analytics, which implement their own security measures to protect data.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update this page to reflect the latest version.
